The Superlink team has joined Anthropic

We started Superlink to make the world’s hidden talent visible.

Every AI product rides on a long supply chain. It starts with energy and raw materials, then chips and data centers, then the models, the systems built around them, and the teams that deploy those systems for customers. Hiring is happening at every stage and most of the roles are new. The ones companies fight hardest over weren’t a thing two years ago.

We did the job first

Before we built software for recruiters, we became recruiters. We took on the hardest searches we could find, ran them by hand, and built the product around whatever slowed us down.

Over the last year we placed engineers at leading AI companies, and ran searches for a dozen more frontier teams. The roles ranged from an agent engineer to a deep-sea mining CTO to a power systems engineer hired to help energize data centers.

What we learned

Companies and candidates speak different languages. The same job goes by a dozen names. One company’s forward deployed engineer is another’s agent engineer and a third’s solutions architect. Search by title and most of the people who can do the work never show up.

The loudest profiles crowd out the best ones. Profiles stuffed with AI-written text rise to the top of every search. Many of the strongest candidates barely exist on LinkedIn. Their work shows up in code, papers, and talks, so that’s where we looked.

Judgment can’t be automated away. On one search, only a third of the candidates who matched the job description were actually strong. Exceptional people are spiky, and the bar for them lives in a hiring manager’s head. AI can run the search. The person accountable for the hire has to set the bar.

The best people never look for a job. They take the call when someone has done the work to see them for who they are. That part of recruiting is still human, and it matters more now than it ever has.

Why Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to ensure that the world safely makes the transition through transformative AI. That work gets done by people, and few teams hire with more intensity or care. We spent the last year on this problem from the outside, one search at a time. Now we get to further Anthropic’s hiring efforts from the inside.

Thank you

Thank you to the clients who handed us their hardest searches, the investors and advisors who backed us early, and every candidate who took our call.
